Mattay 7:14 & Mattay 10:28

Mattay 7:14.How narrow is the gate and strict the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it!
Mattay 10:28 “And you shall not be afraid of those who kill the body that are not able to kill the soul; rather be afraid of him who can destroy soul and body in Gehenna.”

Mattay 9-10

Chapter 9

1 Then going up into the ship and crossing over He came to His city they brought him a paralytic as he lay in the pallet. ( bed OT should be used)

2 Messiah saw their faith and He said to the paralytic: "Take heart my son, your sins are forgiven you."

3 But some of the scribes said among themselves: "This man blasphemes."

4 Messiah knew their thinking and said to them: "Why do you think evil things in your heart?

5 For which is easier to say; 'Your sins are forgiven you' or to say; 'Arise and walk?'

6. But that you may know that The Son of Man has authority in the earth to forgive sins, I say to this paralytic; 'Stand up, take your pallet (bed) and go to your house.'"

7 And he stood up and he went to his house. (question this add to what Messiah said who stood?)

8  But when those crowds saw, they were awestruck(in awe? OT), and they glorified God Almighty who gave authority like this to the children of men.

9 When Messiah passed by from there, He saw a man sitting at a tax collection booth, whose name was Mattay, and he said to him, "Follow me!" and rising, he went after Him.

10 When they reclined (sat? OT) in the house, tax gatherers and many sinners came, and they reclined (sat) to eat with Messiah and with His disciples.

11 When the Pharisees saw, they were saying to His disciples: "Why does your master eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

12 When Yeshua heard, He said to them: "The healthy (whole is used in scripture)do not need a doctor (physician) but those who have become ill (not used OT "sick").

13 Go learn what this says: 'I require mercy and not a sacrifice' for I have not come to call the righteous but sinners."

14 Then the disciples of Yohannan approached Him and they were saying: "Why are we and the Pharisees fasting much and your disciples are not fasting?"

15 Messiah said to them: "How can the children of the bridal chamber fast as long as the groom is with them? But, the days are coming when the groom will be taken from them and then they will fast.

16 No man places of new patch(covering OT) of cloth on an old coat, lest its fulness tears from that coat and the rip would be greater. 17 Neither do they put new wine in old wineskins (wineskin not used OT wine bottle old bottles??? what was used), lest the wineskins burst and the wine is spilled and the wineskins are destroyed; but they put new wine in new wineskins, and both are preserved."

18 As He was speaking these things with them, a certain ruler approached, bowing to Him, and said: "My daughter is dying even now but come, lay your hand on her and she will live."

19 So Messiah arose and His disciples and they went after him.

20 Behold, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, came from behind Him and she touched the hem of His garment.

21 For she was saying in(within meaning in her mind) herself; 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be healed.'

22 Then Messiah turned and saw her and He said to her: "Take heart my daughter, your faith has saved you(made you whole)." The woman was healed from that moment.

23 Then Messiah came to the house of the ruler and He saw chanters(ministers (a ruler would have)) and a crowd that was upset.(issue in stated "loud voice" used and upset no fit to me not used "astonished" used).

24 So He said to them: "'Get out!' for the girl is not dead but she is asleep." They were laughing at Him.

25   When He had sent the crowd out. He (Messiah) entered, He took her by her hand and the girl arose.

26 This report went out into all that land.

27   When Messiah passed from there, two blind men followed Him who cried out and they were saying: "Have pity on us, son of David."

28 But when He had come to the house, those blind men came near to Him, so Messiah said to them: "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They were saying to Him: "Yes, Our Lord."

29 Then He touched their eyes and said: "Just as you have believed, let it be done to you."

30 At once their eyes were opened and Messiah (warned?) them and said: "See that no man will know it."

31 But they went forth and they announced (witnessed, testifying)it in all that area.

32 So when Messiah went out, they brought to Him a deaf mute who had a demon upon him,

33 and when the demon went forth, that deaf-mute spoke. The crowds were astonished and they were saying: "Never has it been seen thus in Israel."

34 But the Pharisees were saying: "By the prince of demons he casts out demons."

35 When Messiah was traveling about in all the cities and in the villages and He was teaching in their assemblies and preaching the Gospel (not a word used OT but by gentiles? greek) of the kingdom and was healing all diseases and all ailments.

36 When Messiah saw the crowds, He felt pity for them, for they were weary and wandering, like sheep without a shepherd.

37 So He said to His disciples: "The harvest is great and the laborers are few.

38 ASK therefore of the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers to His harvest."

Chapter 10

1 Messiah called His twelve disciples and He gave them authority (power)over evil spirits to cast them out and to heal every ailment and disease. (ailment not used OT? possible use (curse) as witches use them

2 The names of the twelve Apostles (not used OT or NT nor sent)were these: the first of them, Shimeon who was called Kaypha and Andraeus his brother and Yaqob Bar Zebedee and Yohannan his brother

3 and Philippus Bar Tolmay and Thoma and Mattay the tax collector (publican) and Yaqob Bar Halphi and Lebai who was called Thadi(Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus...the only surname given could this be a woman?),

4 and Shimeon the Zealot and Yehuda Skariota he who betrayed Him.

5 These twelve Messiah sent and He commanded them and said: "You shall not go by a road (highway)of the heathen and you shall not enter a city of the Samaritans,

6 but go especially to the sheep that have been lost of the house of Israel.

7 As you are going preach (teach) and say 'the kingdom of heaven has come near'. Mt 12:28

8 Heal the sick, purify the lepers and cast out demons; freely you have received, freely give.

9 You shall not retain gold, neither silver, nor copper in your bags.

10 Neither wallet(meat) for the way, nor two coats, neither shoes, nor staff, for a laborer is worthy of his provisions.

11 Whatsoever city or village you enter, ask who is worthy(upright) in it and stay there until you leave.

12 When you enter a household, invoke(speak?) the peace of the household.

13 If that household is worthy(upright), your blessing of peace will come upon it, but if not, your blessing of peace will return unto you.

14 Whoever does not receive you, neither listens to your words, when you depart from the house or from the village, shake the sand (dust) from your feet.

15 Truly I say to you, it will be tranquil (OT word needed) in the day of judgment for the land of Sadom and Ammora compared to that city.

16 Behold, I am sending you as lambs among wolves; be therefore crafty (cunning) as snakes and innocent as doves.

17 Beware of the children of men, for they will deliver you to the courts and they will scourge you in their synagogues (OT tabernacle).

18 They will bring you before governors and kings for their testimony and that of the gentiles,

19 but when they arrest you, do not be anxious how or what you will speak; it will be given to you in that hour what you should say.

20 For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you.

21 For brother will deliver his brother to death, a father his son and children will rise against their parents; and will put them to death.

22 You will be hated by everyone because of my name but whoever (whosoever) will endure until the end, he will be saved.

23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another, for truly I say to you, you will not have finished all the cities of the house of Israel until the Son of Man come.

24 No disciple is greater than his master, neither a servant than his lord.

25 It is enough for a disciple to be like his master and for a servant to be like his lord. If they have called the lord of the house Beelzebub, how much more the children of his household?

26 Therefore, you shall not be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed and hidden, that will not be known.

27 Whatsoever I tell you in the darkness, say it in the light and whatever you hear with your ears, preach on the rooftops. (roof tops)

28 You shall not be afraid of those who kill the body that are not able to kill the soul; rather be afraid of Him who can destroy soul and body in Gehenna (hell).

29 Are not two sparrows sold for penny (OT word) and not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father?

30 Your hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 You shall not be afraid, therefore; you are better than many sparrows.

32 Everyone, therefore, who will confess me before children of men, I shall confess him also before my Father who is in heaven.

33 Whosoever will deny me before the children of men, I shall deny him also before my Father who is in heaven.

34 Think not that I have come to bring peace in the earth; I have not come to bring peace but a sword.

35 I have come to divide a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law

36 and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.

37 Whosoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whosoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 Everyone who does not take his cross and come after me is not worthy of me.

39 Whosoever will lose his life for my sake will find it; whoever will find his life will lose it.

40 Whosoever receives you receives me and whosoever receives me receives Him who sent me.

41 Whosoever receives a Prophet in the name of a Prophet receives the reward of the Prophet and whosoever receives the righteous one in the name of the righteous one receives the reward of the righteous one.Ge 15:6

42 Everyone who gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water only to drink, in the name of a disciple, amen (so be it), I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
